Living in the house that Moses Austin built when he came to Texas.  You can see the earlier structure in the lighter brick outline.  The oldest part of the house still has it's dirt floor.

  In the afternoons a brave and feisty little cat is seen relaxing around the upstairs porch.

 The house sits on a huge cap of rock.  A wonderful courtyard and there are plenty of shade trees.  Look for an old Indian escape route that leads to the creek.
